Kotor

Kotor is one of the oldest cities in the world and is included in UNESCO's World Heritage List for its essential role in ancient history and its naturally created harbor. The exact time when the city was created remains unknown, but the archaeologists believe that it was built over the remains of the ancient town Acruvium. It is sure that Kotor existed before the time of Homer (ancient Greek poet), 7-8 centuries before Christ. The buildings are situated all over the foothills of the mountain, revealing a gorgeous view in every direction. The streets of Kotor look like an exciting maze created by houses, churches, and historical buildings. Also, Skadar Lake is one of the few pelican habitats in southern Europe.During the summer, the lake is covered in water lilies, making it look like a magical parallel reality. It is 44 km long, and there are several boat rental spots along the road, some of which organize daily boat trips for the tourists.
